We are pleased to announce the winners of our current competition. We received numerous excellent entries and would like to thank all our users who participated in the competition. We are already planning the next competition and we hope to announce it within the next week.
It was a difficult decision to select the best photograph and video. In the end, we decided to listen to our users and have decided that the 1st prize should go to Alex Mazunga (from Kasane, Botswana) for his photograph "female leopard (legadima)". This has received viewed over 640 times and voted as the best photograph by our users. Alex has already been an active user with a number of other excellent photographs. Alex wins a 7 day safari to Kenya thanks to Porini Camps.
The 2nd prize is awarded to Myles Thompson (from Austria) for his video "Meet the Vultures". It is good to see vultures getting some profile in a video for a change. Myles wins a Fuji SLR camera thanks to Sunsafaris.
We would like to thank Porini Camps and Sunsafaris for their support and prizes. We will be announcing new prizes within the next week so please stay posted.
Regards

Today is the last day of the competition being run by Sunsafaris and Porini Camps. We would like to thank Porini for the amazing prize of a 7 night safari at their camps.
Thanks to all our users for all the excellent entries. It is going to be a tough job deciding on the winner!
We will be reviewing all the entries in the coming days and announce the winner soon. Watch this space. We will be in contact with the winners directly before we publish it here.

A big thank you to Brett from Sunsafaris for arranging our trip to Africa on Foot, situated in the Klaserie area which borders on the Timbavati.
The camp is small and rustic (just the way we like it) and is a family run business. The camp is very new and Courtney and Cecilia are currently in the throws of upgrading the chalets and all facilities which are taking shape beautifully.
Their hospitality is superb and we were totally spoilt. So much so, that nothing was too much trouble - from extended game walks and drives to shooting off as and when something exciting was spotted. This in itself is most unusual as the camps we normally visit are usually regimented to set times for walks and drives. What a refreshing change!
If you're looking for escapism, good down to earth food and people and the opportunity to see game until you drop, I highly recommend that you visit their establishment.
Thanks again Brett.
Regards,
Robin and Stephen

Besides the competition, we have already partnered with one of our users, Robin, to do some work for Sunsafaris. She traded a few days of photography in exchange for some time in the greater Kruger. So keep your entries coming - this site is all about community and network. Please spread the word.

It is fantastic to see that the cats and big 5 have not dominated the top 5 rankings as voted by you, the users. We have received and excellent variety of images and videos, making the site engaging and interesting. Wildlife is obviously the most popular submission, but we have seen some great images of safari lodges, the people of Africa and the daily life of Africa.

We have already received some excellent photographs from across Africa. Keep them coming.
The video entries are lagging behind. Please upload your entries as we would love to see them, especially any videos of wildlife, safari lodges or camps.
