Camp Shawu is a private safari camp in the Kruger National Park, found on 15 hectares of secluded land.

The five incredibly spacious rooms, sleep ten guests, and are far from rustic- all are luxuriously furnished and feature romantic ball and claw baths, a sitting area warmed by an open fireplace, ceiling fans and an open air shower.

The private verandahs fronting the rooms are furnished with reclining chairs and an umbrella, creating an idyllic spot from which to watch the game come down to drink from the Mpanamana Dam fronting the lodge.

Leisure spaces at Camp Shawu include a large lounge, indoor and outdoor dining areas and a splash pool.

One of the unique features of Camp Shawu is the safari lodge's authentic buffalo dung walls, which add to the ambience and create a rustic feel to the camp.

Camp Shawu also specialises in walking trails through the Kruger National Park, on which guests can experience a typically old-fashioned safari first-hand.

Game drives in 4x4 vehicles are another option. Expect to come across elephant, lion, cheetah and hippo and always keep an eye out for the lazy crocodile and endangered rhino.
