At Porini Amboseli Camp we were able to walk in the conservancy with Maasai Warriors, something that cannot be done in Amboseli National Park.

Joey · 1319 days ago The camp is located in the Selenkay Conservancy. I stayed there in January 2007. It is a excellent tented camp with sufficient luxury, but without some of the OTT luxuries that seem popular at a lot of camps these days.
It is a bit of a drive to get to the Amboseli National Park (40 minutes), but it is through wildlife areas and Maasai land so quite enjoyable. The advantage of the camp is that it is has exclusive access to the Selenkay Conservancy. They have an excellent working relationship with the local Maasai and the camp is run on an eco-friendly basis. I have put a few more photos up of the camp and vehicles used.
